Fun With Maps

Since David gets to send out articles I thought I would send out some fun sites. It is after 4:30 on Friday so I figure you have all weekend to dream about the possibilities with Google and Yahoo maps.

Risk – Yes the classic game played on a Google Map! Kind of rough still.

Local Events Browser – Fun map with a calendar, categories and event details.

Green Screen – Radar looking map. This is just to demo what can be done.

Pirate Map – Looks like a treasure map. Similar to above.

Finally on a totally unrelated subject and a complete waste of time comes a concept where the whole idea is resisting the urge to click. The idea is flawed in my opinion, but an interesting take on how navigation could happen without the need for clicking. Plus the URL is perfect!
